Pastors

Rev. Steve Quinlan
Sunday Preaching
Greetings! I am one of eight children born into a middle class Irish Catholic family. After a "spiritual awakening" in my early twenties I felt a distinct call to ministry and began preaching and teaching in a non-denominational setting. Soon I chose to become Presbyterian because the polity of the PCUSA spoke to me of freedom of conscience and order in practice. I attended Princeton Theological Seminary with a focus in preaching. I served PCUSA congregations in New York, New England, and Colorado before coming to FPC Peru nine years ago. I retired from active service in November, 2020. My wife Melanie and I live in Peru where we enjoy gardening, working out at the YMCA, cooking and reading. I am an amateur woodworker and have a lovely shop. Mel and I have six children and six grandchildren.
