Rainbow Connection Childcare, Inc. started serving children in July of 1999. The services were for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years of age. We have continued our services by including a separate preschool program and a collaboration with Rossville Elementary School for a School Age Child Care Program.

Rainbow Connection Childcare, Inc. has a volunteer Board of Directors who are concerned and interested in the growth and development of young children and the services they need in the community. The Board of Directors is responsible for all policies and planning for Rainbow Connection Childcare, Inc.

Rainbow Connection Childcare, Inc. is committed to providing a safe, healthy, accessible, and affordable childcare center. An emphasis is placed on providing a creative, stimulating environment that promotes each child's social, emotional, mental, and physical growth. We make every effort to keep families informed about their child's progress and always welcome information about their growth and situations at home. We strive to have a strong bond between home and the center.

Program Goals

• To provide opportunities for the children to develop an understanding of self and others and to develop social and emotional skills in a setting characterized by warmth, personal respect, positive support, and responsiveness.

• To provide a curriculum that encourages children to grow intellectually by experiencing a wide variety of developmentally appropriate activities and materials and pursuing their own interests in group and individual settings.

• To provide opportunities for the children to develop communication skills through peer and adult interaction and through observing appropriate parent/staff interactions.

• To provide a setting that emphasizes the child's physical development and health through large and small motor activities, nutritional meals, and a safe and healthy environment.

Programs Offered

• Childcare Services: 6 weeks to 6 years

• School Age Care: Kindergarten through the completion of 5th grade

• Preschool: 3-5 year olds
