Missions

Our church supports the following mission efforts:

  • Rossville Food Pantry- On the second Sunday of each even numbered month, food and paper goods are collected for our local community

  • Seeds of Hope- On the second Sunday of each odd numbered month, food, paper goods, and used clothing items are collected for the Lafayette community through Seeds of Hope, a privately run distribution point in Lafayette, IN

  • Habitat for Humanity- Several members of our church family recently participated in a Presbyterian build resulting in a home for a family in Stockwell, IN. in a neighboring county

  • Rainbow Connection Childcare- We are involved with the childcare located on our premises, recently sponsoring the Valentine treats and plans are underway to sponsor an Easter Egg hunt and provide Easter treats.

  • Samaritan's Purse Shoeboxes- We annually provide over 75 shoeboxes filled with Christmas goodies for children in underprivileged countries

  • Operation Hurricane Katrina Relief- Thirty six members of  our church family, working with Forward Edge International,  have participated in one or more of four mission trips to Mississippi to aid in rebuilding following Hurricane Katrina

  • Rossville School-Angel project- We work with the school nurse to provide Christmas for several families who have fallen on hard times at Christmas.

  • Community Outreach Program- The churches of Rossville work together to provide assistance to families with short term emergency needs

  • Released Time Education- We support the program which provides weekly Biblical instruction to Rossville Elementary third and fourth  graders

  • Boy Scouts- We have held the charter and sponsored Rossville Troop 337 for over sixty years and provide our facility for their meetings

  • Meals on Wheels- Members of our congregation deliver Meals on Wheels in Rossville one week each month

  • Red Cross Disaster Center- We are a designated center in time of disaster

  • Quarter Collection- Quarters are being collected weekly and used for mission projects chosen by the youth. Recent projects included shopping for nearly $400 worth of supplies for the local Humane Society.

  • Prayer Shawl- Over forty prayer shawls have been knitted or crocheted by members of all ages. These are given to people who are going through difficult times in their lives.

  • Shared Community Services- We participate in community church services and Vacation Bible School
